How Smart Keys Work

Smart keys, aka called proximity fobs, use radio-frequency identification to communicate with your vehicle. When the fob is within range, your car unlocks automatically and allows push-button start. This technology makes daily driving easier, but requires expert locksmith programming if the key is lost or stops working.
